BMEX - Overview

The basic pricing structure for Broadband Media Exchange services is as follows:

• Initial Core Connection fee to the BMEX hub - £1500
• Annual Core Subscription fee (paid in advance) - £1650
• Internet Bandwidth - £400 per Mbps per month
• Link costs - these vary depending on your distance from the hub, but are typically £8000 to install a dedicated 10Mbps link with an annual rental of £1350

We are currently investigating connection options for bandwidths less than 10Mbps, as well as funding opportunities to help smaller companies subscribe to the network.

All payments are required in advance of any service being provided.

Why is it so expensive?

Sadly, the cost of networking outside of your home or office is very high. Internet bandwidth is at a premium, and the BMEX offers a unique, shared solution which provides bursting of traffic, depending on the usage required by other members at that time.

We are currently investigating other methods of connecting to the BMEX hub, including wireless (both radio and laser), DSL and cable modem, in an effort to reduce the costs of entry to the network.
